A lodge connected to Wainwright

Buffalo Park Lodge No. 44 was instituted on April 27, 1909 and chartered in 1910. Its early development was closely connected with the growth of Wainwright, the railway, the surrounding agricultural community and the nearby military presence.

The lodge took its name from the federal buffalo park established south of the community. Over the decades, its members met in several locations, supported community activities, recognized long service and maintained a record of Past Masters and District Deputy Grand Masters.
